Refund and Return Policy

A legal disclaimer

Because Sagan’s Wares, LLC sells resale, pre-owned, returned, and second-hand merchandise, our return and refund policy is tailored to the unique nature of our products. Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase.

Refund Policy - the basics

1. General Return Policy

1.1 Return Window. You may request a return within 14 calendar days from the date of delivery (or pickup) for items purchased directly from Sagan’s Wares. Returns requested after 14 days will not be accepted.

1.2 Condition for Return. Items must be returned in the same condition as received. Items that have been altered, damaged by the customer, used beyond reasonable inspection, or are missing original accessories or components described in the listing will not be accepted for return.

1.3 Non-Returnable Items. The following items are FINAL SALE and cannot be returned: art and original artwork; items marked “Final Sale” or “As-Is – No Returns” in the listing; items purchased via the Proffer (make-an-offer) system at a negotiated price; items with a listed price under $10.00; personalized or custom items; and items showing signs of customer misuse, abuse, or modification.

2. Grounds for Return

Returns are accepted under the following circumstances:

  • Item Not as Described: The item’s condition is materially different from the condition described in the listing (e.g., listed as “Lightly Used” but received with significant damage not disclosed).

  • Defective Item: The item has a defect or malfunction not disclosed in the listing. Note: for items listed as “Fair” condition, known defects are part of the condition description and do not constitute grounds for return.

  • Wrong Item Shipped: You received a different item than what was ordered.

  • Damaged in Transit: The item was damaged during shipping (see Section 5 below).

3. Return Process

To initiate a return:

  1. Contact us at info@saganswares.com within 14 days of delivery with your order number, the reason for return, and photographs clearly showing the issue.

  2. We will review your request and respond within 3 business days with a determination.

  3. If approved, we will provide a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and return shipping instructions.

  4. Ship the item back within 7 calendar days of receiving the RMA. Items must be packed securely to prevent further damage.

  5. Upon receipt and inspection of the returned item, we will process your refund within 5 business days.

DO NOT return items without first obtaining an RMA number. Unauthorized returns will be refused and returned to sender at the customer’s expense.

4. Refund Methods

4.1 Original Payment Method. Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method (credit/debit card via Wix Payments, or PayPal). Please allow 5–10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement after processing.

4.2 Store Credit. At our discretion, we may offer store credit in lieu of a monetary refund, particularly for returns that do not fall within the standard return grounds. Store credit does not expire and is non-transferable.

4.3 Shipping Costs. If the return is due to our error (wrong item, not as described, or undisclosed defect), we will provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you. If the return is for any other reason (e.g., buyer’s remorse where the item is eligible for return), the customer is responsible for return shipping costs. Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.

4.4 Free Shipping Adjustments. If you received free shipping (orders $100+) and your return brings the order total below $100.00, the original shipping cost will be deducted from your refund.

5. Damaged-in-Transit Claims

If your item arrives damaged due to shipping:

  • Photograph the damage to the item AND the packaging immediately upon receipt.

  • Contact us at info@saganswares.com within 7 calendar days of delivery.

  • Do not discard the packaging or shipping materials until the claim is resolved.

  • We will file a claim with USPS on your behalf and either reship the item (if available) or issue a full refund, including shipping costs.

6. Exchanges

Due to the unique, one-of-a-kind nature of many of our resale products, we generally cannot offer direct exchanges. If you wish to exchange an item, please initiate a return per Section 3 and place a new order for the desired item. We cannot guarantee item availability.

7. Proffer (Make-an-Offer) Purchases

Items purchased through the Proffer system at a negotiated price are FINAL SALE. By submitting and completing a Proffer transaction, you acknowledge that the item is sold as-is at the agreed-upon price and is not eligible for return or refund, except in cases of wrong item shipped or undisclosed material defect.

8. Dingo’s Den Marketplace Returns

Items purchased from third-party sellers on Dingo’s Den are subject to each individual seller’s return policy, which is displayed on the product listing. Sagan’s Wares, LLC is not responsible for returns or refunds on Dingo’s Den purchases. If a Dingo’s Den seller is unresponsive to a legitimate return request for more than 7 business days, contact us at info@saganswares.com and we will attempt to mediate.

9. Cancellations

9.1 Before Shipping. You may cancel an order before it has been shipped by contacting us at info@saganswares.com. A full refund will be issued for successfully cancelled orders.

9.2 After Shipping. Once an order has shipped, it cannot be cancelled. You may refuse delivery, but return shipping costs will be deducted from your refund.

9.3 Local Pickup Orders. Local pickup orders not collected within 14 calendar days may be cancelled and refunded at our discretion, minus a 15% restocking fee.
